This digital image taken in 2007, depicts the Tampa Electric Company's Big Bend Power Station just outside of Tampa in Hillsborough County, Florida. Stephen and is family visited this location often. During the winter months, warm-water outfalls from the station draw West Indian manatees, an endangered species, to the immediate vicinity of the plant. There is a manatee viewing area which is accessible to the public.
